The Little Gym
our story
For children ages 4 months to 12 years (and their parents), The Little Gym gymnastics programs help children learn and grow through movement and imaginative play.
About us
A History
of Serious Fun
An innovative educator, musician, and kinesiologist, The Little Gym founder Robin Wes envisioned a nurturing place where children could explore their physical development, while also growing socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
He opened the first The Little Gym in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington, and infused those early classes with the same positive, non-competitive spirit that characterizes us today. Over forty-five years later, children in more than 300 locations worldwide experience the benefits and SERIOUS FUN of The Little Gym.
What is Three-Dimensional Learning?
Our environment is fun, but our purpose is serious. That’s why we embrace a proprietary philosophy called Three-Dimensional Learning, in which physical activity is a conduit for nurturing your whole child. The Three-Dimensional Learning approach to skill development means that every class we offer fosters growth in three holistic dimensions—Get Moving, Brain Boost, and Citizen Kid.
Get Moving
Developing flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination through varied physical activities and gymnastics skills.
Brain Boost
Citizen Kid
Promoting sharing, teamwork, cooperation, and leadership through spending time with friends and peers.

We had a blast at the grand opening, I can’t wait to get my kids back there for some classes.

The Little Gym Glendale was a wonderful experience for our family. It offers a safe and playful spot to take kids of many ages to learn new skills, taking direction from others and just play with other children.

The Little Gym of Abington feels like a second home to us. My daughter has been enrolled for nearly five years, and during that time, she has gained not only gymnastics skills but also valuable life skills. The staff are amazing and always welcoming.
