Classes for Ages 4 Months to 3 Years

Connect with your little one and help them develop strength and motor skills, as you both learn, play and grow together in class.

Learn & Grow Together

At The Little Gym, we believe that parent and child gym classes are an important opportunity for parents to stay active and bond with their children. It’s never too early for your little one to start learning and have some Serious Fun. From infant to toddler, our parent and child classes promote early development and provide a strong foundation for your child’s critical first three years. And since you’re along for the ride, you’ll be right there to celebrate every discovery with smiles, hugs, and the occasional adult-sized giggle.

If you’re wondering when you should start taking your little one to parent and child gym classes, the answer is: as soon as possible once your child is 4 months old! The earlier you start exercising with your baby, the better. Studies have shown that babies who get more exercise at an early age tend to be healthier as they grow up. Our parent and child classes are available as soon as you’re ready.

The Importance of Early Childhood Development

Early childhood development lays the foundation for a child’s future physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. Here are some of the ways that your little one would benefit from a child program at The Little Gym:

=

Brain Development

During the early years, your child’s brain undergoes rapid growth and development, forming neural connections that shape their cognitive abilities, learning capacity, and overall intelligence.

=

Social and Emotional Development

Early childhood is when children learn important social and emotional skills, such as empathy, self-regulation, and how to form relationships with others. These skills are essential for managing emotions, and navigating social interactions throughout life.

=

Language and Communication Skills

The early years are a sensitive period for language development. Children learn to communicate, express themselves, and understand others through interactions with caregivers, exposure to language-rich environments, and early literacy experiences.

=

Physical Health and Well-being

Early childhood is when the most physical growth occurs. Proper nutrition, adequate sleep, and opportunities for physical activity during this period are essential for establishing healthy habits and preventing health problems later in life.

=

Cognitive Skills and School Readiness

Early childhood experiences play a significant role in shaping a child’s cognitive abilities and readiness for school. Activities that promote play and creativity lay the groundwork for academic success and lifelong learning.

=

Resilience and Coping Skills

Building resilience and coping skills early in life helps children navigate challenges and setbacks more effectively. Positive early experiences and supportive relationships with caregivers provide a buffer against stress and adversity, promoting mental health and well-being.
